UBC and Stanley Park Ecology Society seeking residents to aid coyote deterrent research

The University of British Columbia, in collaboration with the Stanley Park Ecology Society's Co-Existing with Coyote program, is looking for homeowners who have a high presence of coyotes on their property to run a humane coyote deterrent project. Given that human-coyote conflict that can exist researchers are looking at ways to keep coyotes off residential properties.

Homeowners who agree to be in the study would have trail cameras installed in their yard to monitor coyote activities, followed by the installation of a humane deterrent for a period of one month. If interested please contact Dr. Kristen Walker of the UBC Applied Animal Biology Faculty atkristen.walker@ubc.ca.
