ACTION ALERT: Stop coyote killing contest in Ontario

The Fur-Bearers is joining our colleagues at Coyote Watch Canada and Earthroots in calling on the government to shut down a coyote killing contest using existing legislation designed to prevent such contests from happening.

As reported by Earthroots, an Ontario-based store is running a contest that sets no geographic boundaries, which means Algonquin wolves, a distinct species that cannot be differentiated from the Eastern Coyotes, are at risk, too. We are asking you to use Earthroots’ action item to contact those responsible for interpreting and enforcing Ontario’s wildlife legislation.
