Animal Law: Funding, Frustrations, and Finding Solutions for Change

Defender Radio Podcast Animal Law: Funding, Frustrations, and Finding Solutions for Change

It was a bit surprising and confusinsg to see headlines popping up about the Ontario SPCA backing off farmed animal investigations, and not laying any charges in a clear hoarding situation. And when those two worlds collide, there’s one person we call: Camille Labchuk. The Executive Director at Animal Justice and a powerhouse attorney, Camille joined Defender Radio to talk through what’s going on with the Ontario SPCA, the problems in having a non-government agency manage legal matters, and why making sure that advocates are properly filing reports, complaints, and creating paper trails matters.
