Attention artists, crafters and small business owners!

A collage of handmade items donated to our silent auction.
Items donated to the silent auction last year include (clockwise, from left) handmade coasters by Vancouver Island Pyro Art Designs, a cougar print donated by Cotton Auctions via Anne Carchssio, fox quilt by Jane Ray and raccoon facemask by Kinglet Collective.

The Fur-Bearers are hosting a silent auction in October to benefit wildlife and need support from artists, crafters and small business owners.

If you love to create, and include fur-bearing animals (see a full list of who that includes here) in your wonderous projects, we’d love to receive them as donations for our silent auction. The gallery below shows a few examples of past donations.

We’d love to receive paintings, photography prints, quilts, cross-stitches, handmade products like coasters, jewellery, and anything else you might create. Just remember that we’re looking for fur-bearing animals. If you’re a small business owner, we’ll also be including virtual gift cards, and you can donate those, too! Please be aware that we’re a Canada-wide organization so we’ll be looking for items from all over.

Funds raised from the auction support our work to create and provide educational resources to communities and homeowners to coexist with wildlife and protect their habitat, as well as advocate for the animals exploited in Canada’s commercial fashion fur trade.

If you’d like to donate an item or have further questions, please contact We can’t wait to share the auction details with you, which is tentatively set for opening on October 12, 2021.
