Calling all artists and crafters!

The Fur-Bearers love to send personalized greeting cards to thank generous donors, supporters, volunteers, partner agencies, schools and companies. Our favourites are always handmade cards from animal lovers just like us!

We’re looking for volunteers who already have supplies for creating greeting cards and would be interested in creating and donating wildlife-themed cards for our use (or digital art that can be printed in limited runs on recycled materials).

We only have a few requirements:

  • Must include fur-bearing animals (see a full list of who fur-bearing animals in Canada are by clicking here)
  • Cards must be blank (no text, no holiday themes, etc.)
  • 4 x 6 is the ideal size, and our policy is to use recycled or reused materials whenever possible.
  • Must be made with love!

We will proudly acknowledge your generosity and hard work in our upcoming newsletters and on social media (and will tag your company or creative-space page if provided). This is a great chance for volunteers from across Canada and the world, aged 9 to 99, to help support wildlife in their communities. We’d would love to see collections of about one dozen cards submitted at a time and can help with the logistics of getting your work to our office.

Want more details or need help sending your already-made cards? Email Lesley@TheFurBearers.com to get more! Every card donated is a chance for us to show your love to others, in the effort to protect fur-bearing animals across Canada. Thank you!
