Traditions that start with hope never end.
In the 1960s George and Bunty Clements placed a single light on a single tree for every donation that The Fur-Bearers received through the month of December.
By Christmas Eve, the Clements, snuggled beneath blankets and drinking hot chocolates, could look out their window and see a beacon of hope.
That kind of hope doesn’t end; it grows, it evolves and it becomes something more than a mere tradition. It becomes a symbol or what the world can be.
George and Bunty have passed and the world has changed. But that symbol of hope remains, and every holiday season, it burns brightly for all of us at The Fur-Bearers. Seasonal donations can be made online by clicking here.
On behalf of our Board of Directors, the staff, and the thousands of animals whose lives you help save today and in the future, thank you, Merry Christmas, and happy holidays.
