Are you passionate about helping animals and educating your community on coexistence? The Fur-Bearers are in need of volunteers in the Metro Vancouver area for assistance at events and distributing door hangers in neighbourhoods!

Event volunteer responsibilities include:

  • Handing out educational materials
  • Talking about our current campaigns
  • Engaging individuals in conversations about coexistence
Our event volunteer schedule runs yearly from April to October, and requires a minimum 8 hour commitment per season. You will be working at our informational booth with staff and other volunteers. Access to a vehicle is an asset.

Looking for more ways to help out? Door hanger distribution is a great way to educate communities about local wildlife and coexistence. There are three different hanger variations: bear, coyote, and general wildlife. We provide thousands of door hangers to areas in need each year, and door hanger teams help us reach this goal!

Door hanger team responsibilities include:

  • Distributing door hangers to targeted communities across Metro Vancouver
  • Alerting The Fur-Bearers of local neighbourhoods that may need door hangers

Volunteering with The Fur-Bearers is a great way to help the animals and give back to your community. If you’re familiar with our work, have participated in our campaigns in the past, and are committed to wildlife protection, these opportunities are perfect for you!
