Four ways to celebrate Earth Day with The Fur-Bearers

It’s been 52 years since Earth Day started, and despite all our advances in science, the world still needs our help. Fortunately, these advances in science also make it a whole lot easier to get involved on April 22. Here are a few of ideas that you and your family can enjoy while making a difference for our planet.

1. Green your thumb

Working on a garden is a great way to make a difference for your local environment and spend some time outside with your family. Whether you want to grow vegetables to use in your cooking or plant native species and help out the wildlife, it’s a wonderful way to enjoy and give back to nature at the same time.

2. Join a cleanup event

Though we all love the environment, some still show disregard for it. One of the best ways to help is to get yourself involved in a cleanup event near you!

3. Host a movie night

There are a ton of great documentaries – and even fictional films – on environmental issues available. You can be entertained and learn how to make a great difference.

4. Join Us

Our work – from saving beavers and their wetland habitats to speaking out against the cruelty and environmental damage of fur farms – is funded entirely by individual donations. By becoming a monthly donor – for the price of only a latte each month – you help us plan and continue our life-saving work!

And remember: April 22 may be Earth Day, but our wildlife need support every day of the year.
