Levi’s teams up with coyote-killing Canada Goose Inc.

When it was recently announced that Levi’s and Canada Goose were teaming up“to bring forth an assortment of pieces to combat the coming climate in a stylish and protective manner”, we expected to see the coyote fur-lined hoods that have come to define Canada Goose Inc. as an infamously cruel company. Even animal-friendly giant LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics hasjoined usin calling out Canada Goose Inc for their decision to use canine fur in their products.

But lo and behold, the limited edition joint 300-piece collection features two jackets and a vest, all three of which appear sans fur in the new promotional video which can be foundhere.

This begs the question: where’s the fur? Is it possible Levi’s isn’t comfortable with the use of fur (especially canine fur?) The products use leather and presumably down, but the absence of fur is suspicious, as it has become the defining element of Canada Goose’s brand.

We’re asking supporters to fill out this form letter to President and CEO of Levi’s Strauss & Co., Chip Bergh and ask that he reconsider his affiliation with such a cruel company until they decide to ditch the fur.
