Message regarding COVID-19

COVID 19
Regarding COVID-19, at this time, most of The Fur-Bearers' work is not affected. However, two upcoming events in which we were scheduled to speak – Wildlife Week at Lynn Canon in North Vancouver (March 15-26) and the Humane Canada Conference in Victoria (March 28-30) – have now been cancelled. The Humane Canada conference organizers are hoping to reschedule for a later time.

We are monitoring the situation and will share any helpful, accurate and trusted information regarding the impact this virus has on animals including pets and wildlife. There is limited evidence that pets can be infected with the virus, and no evidence that they can be a source of infection to other animals or humans.

If you are sick, please contact your doctor's office or local hospital for more information. If have any specific questions about the health of an animal, please contact your local veterinary office or wildlife rehabilation centre as we are not able provide medical advice or assistance.
