Canada is home to people of various cultures, backgrounds, and of course, languages. And that’s why The Fur-Bearers has developed a multilingual #MakeFurHistory brochure!
The pamphlet, which features photos of animals used for fur (but not overtly graphic images), showcases the following text in English, QuébécoisFrench, and Mandarin:
For every piece of fur sold, an animal has suffered. There is no humane fur.
Coyotes, cats, dogs, mink, foxes, and other intelligent, feeling animals are killed by the millions to supply fur trim and fur trinkets. They are raised in tiny cages on fur farms before being anally electrocuted or gassed and skinned, or caught in inherently inhumane traps in the wild and killed by a trapper. These are the standards for obtaining fur for the fashion industry, and it is never humane. Please, go fur-free and help us Make Fur History. Learn more and take action at MakeFurHistory.com.
The Fur-Bearers printed a small quantity of the brochures with our limited budget, and another small batch are being printed by a caring supporter. If you’d like to receive some of these brochures for your advocacy work, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Should the pamphlets be popular enough, we will attempt to get more printed and added to our online store (to help cover shipping costs).
If you’d like to contribute to help us continue developing and printing educational, compassionate materials to help people make ethical choices and go fur-free, please click here to donate to our Fur Free campaign.
