Norway considers banning fur farms

MinkFurFarm-WeAnimals
An ethics committee has been formed in Norway to consider the ethics relating to fur farms. Ongoing revelations into the inherent cruelty of the farms, as shown by animal activists in Norway, have led Environment Minister Bård Vegard Solhjell to consider shutting down the operations entirely.

“This is the first thorough review that raises the question of whether the industry should be wound up,” Solhjell told a local media outlet.

The committee is expected to submit its report by June 30, 2014.
