National Anti-Fur Day ‘Poster Party’
Friday, February 8th, 12 noon – 2 pm
Fur-Bearer’s Office 179 W. Broadway, Vancouver
We’ll provide posters and refreshments while you display posters around town with anti-fur messages such as ‘HAVE A HEART, DON’T WEAR FUR!’
If you’d like to download and print your own posters to put up you can download the file here.
More than 3 million animals are brutalized and killed for their skins in Canada each year by trapping, ranching, shooting and clubbing. While full length fur coats are less popular, fur trim is shockingly common in Canada. Look around next time you’re in downtown Vancouver. A surprising (and deplorable) number of garments include fur trim from coyotes, raccoon dogs, foxes, rabbits and other animals who were murdered in their skins for the frivolous fur industry.
Please help us educate residents that fur hurts by joining the Fur-Bearer’s Association on February 8th!
To RSVP, email Andrea@thefurbearers.com
If you can’t attend, you can still participate! On Friday, Feb 8, tweet your disgust against fur using #FurFree.
