The Fur-Bearers are pleased to announce a month-long partnership with Vegan Supply, the world’s largest Vegan e-commerce marketplace, to benefit our wildlife protection campaigns and programs.
A long-time supporter of The Fur-Bearers, Vegan Supply has run a monthly donation program as a way for their community to connect to causes related to animal protection. Through the month of December, The Fur-Bearers will be featured in their social media channels, in-store, and online. This will provide an opportunity for customers to add donations to their in-store and online purchases!
“One of the biggest reasons The Fur-Bearers work resonates with our vision at Vegan Supply is that we are both working towards living in a world in which humans and animals can coexist in a harmonious way,” says Audrey Chisholm of Vegan Supply. “It is a vision of eliminating senseless suffering to animals. All animals that are exploited or mistreated, whether in our food system or in our backyards, deserve defending.”
“Vegan Supply is an ardent supporter of charities across Canada who make an impact for animals, and The Fur-Bearers is exceptionally proud to be partnered with them for their donation program through December,” says Lesley Fox, Executive Director at The Fur-Bearers. “When our team members are doing their regular grocery shopping or looking for something special for the holidays, Vegan Supply is always at the top of our lists.”
Top products being offered by Vegan Supply include their holiday roasts – a must have for plant-based celebrations.
“We have a new local company, Tarragon Eats, who offer a gluten-free roast as well as a pre-made vegan stuffing and gravy,” says Chisholm. “Then there’s Big Mountain foods who came out with a new one this year that is both gluten and soy-free. And those are on top of our best-selling Field Roast Hazelnut Cranberry and Celebration Roasts.”
Juicy Marbles vegan steaks are a great pick for an indulgent and luxurious dinner-in, or Thrilling vegan Bacon and YoEgg vegan poached eggs for a holiday breakfast that dreams are made of, Chisholm adds.
If you’re seeking non-food items, Chisholm recommends the new handbag brand, Onyx + Ora (based in Saskatchewan) made from Cactus leather.
“We also have our cult favourite Don’t Eat the Homies Apparel line and Good Luck Socks or Vegan Power Co Stickers that make great stocking suffers,” Chisholm says.
Due to the Canada Post service interruption, Vegan Supply is using a local delivery partner for orders delivered in British Columbia’s Lower Mainland to avoid disruptions. They will continue to use Fedex and UPS for orders outside of that area (this may impact remote locations or PO boxes that do not accept courier deliveries) and the final order cut off for orders to arrive before Christmas is December 16, 2024, at end of day. Pickup is available in Vancouver, South Surrey, and once per week in Victoria.
