US company provides another co-existence tool

Their marketing may lean toward the hyperbolic, but the folks at Predator Guard have the product to make it worthwhile.

A solar-powered, motion-activated light system that can be strategically placed at various heights and positions (depending on the animal), the Predator Guard deterrent product seem like another great tool for ranchers, farmers, landowners and municipalities to have in their belt of co-existence strategies.

Rather than depending on floodlights – which those of us in urban areas knows only works for so long – the Predator Guard apparently utilizes flashing red LEDs (light-emitting diodes) which stimulates the fear-of-predators mechanism inherent in all animals.

We try not to endorse products without knowing their full history and development, but this one certainly seems like a winner that’s going to prevent the use of cruel, ineffective and inhumane traps.
