The Fur-Bearers’ coexistence door hangers are reaching new communities and helping save the lives of wild animals thanks to supporters like you!
Door hangers are double-sided pamphlets designed to be left on door handles of homes. They share educational information about coexisting with wildlife, attractant management, and how to prevent negative encounters.
This simple and effective educational tool is frequently being requested by supporters and members of the public who want to do more to protect wildlife and prevent unnecessary deaths of animals in their communities.
From May to July of this year, we sent nearly 1,500 door hangers to people across British Columbia! From large cities like Coquitlam and Kamloops, to smaller areas like Cobble Hill and Castlegar (and even some cities in Ontario and Saskatchewan!), our door hangers are raising awareness about the importance of securing attractants and coexisting with wildlife.
We’re also using geotargeted content to get educational tools into communities where black bears are killed most frequently.
