Toronto transit riders are being challenged to “look closer” and watch Canadian Fur Farms: EXPOSED before their next stop in a new advertising campaign launched this week.
The ad features a photo of a fox on a real Canadian fur farm, provided by our friends at We Animals. It also features a QR code that links directly to the FurFarming.ca microsite, where the documentary can be viewed.
This type of campaign is only possible thanks to our donors – click here to learn more about being a monthly Defender and other ways to support our efforts to end fur farming in Canada.
The documentary was released in early 2025 and features interviews with infectious disease expert Dr. Jan Hajek, Dr. Sara Dubois, former fur farmer Dan Starr, Indigenous leader Judy Wilson Red Hummingbird/tsiqw xwéxwne, and The Fur-Bearer’s Lesley Fox. EXPOSED focuses on the public health, environmental impacts, policy concerns, and animal welfare issues of fur farming in Canada, and has footage and images from inside fur farms (special thanks to We Animals and Last Chance for Animals). EXPOSED has won two Best Documentary awards from Canadian film festivals.
The advertisement will run for four weeks at major Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) subway station stops, including around Toronto Metropolitan University, major shopping areas, and tourist attractions.
