Planned Giving
We know that you care deeply for the animals.
By leaving a bequest to the Association for the Protection of Fur-Bearing Animals (The Fur-Bearers), you will ensure that your commitment to the animals continues long after you are gone.
Regardless of how much or how little money you have, a will ensures that whatever personal belongings and assets you do have will go to family or beneficiaries you designate. Without a will, the court will make these decisions.
There are many ways that you can leave a legacy for the animals.
Some people specify a certain dollar amount, while others leave a percentage of their estate. You can also leave property, RSPs or other kinds of gifts. We encourage you to talk to your lawyer or accountant for help to decide which option will work best for you. Please note under the Financial institutions commission of BC/Insurance Act of BC, we cannot accept life insurance policies as donations.
Please let us know if you are planning on including The Association for the Protection of Fur-Bearing Animals in your will so we can recognize your generosity and help ensure that your wishes will be fulfilled.
If you require more information, please contact Executive Director Lesley Fox at 604-435-1850 or by email at Lesley@TheFurBearers.com.

"As a supporter for more than 30 years, I have a deep passion and deep caring for the animals. This is why I included The Fur-Bearers in my will, it's my legacy to continue this important work and mission. I have peace of mind knowing that when I’m gone, I will continue to help our animals."
