2019 Children’s Animal Welfair a success!

2019 Children’s Animal Welfair a success!

They came. They saw. They learned.

Hundreds of children interacted with displays, asked questions about coexistence, learned about how we impact animals and the environment, and won some awesome prizes at the Children’s Animal Welfair!

Hosted at Science World in Vancouver, the initiative co-managed by The Fur-Bearers, the BC SPCA, and the Animals in Science Policy Institute was a resounding success on Thursday, May 23. Included at the event were also The David Suzuki Foundation, Critter Care Wildlife Society, North Shore Black Bear Society, Vancouver Humane Society, and Vancouver Aquarium Marine Mammal Rescue.

The Fur-Bearers would like to send a special thanks to Jess Bryndle of Science World for their support, volunteers Tanya Adams and Ingrid Katzberg, our friends at the BC SPCA and AiSPI, and all those who came out!

Check out some photos and videos from the event below and sign up for our eNewsletter to find out about other upcoming events and opportunities for youth!
