The Fur-Bearers have a lot to be thankful for following an incredibly successful Giving Tuesday fundraising campaign.
A donor who wishes to remain anonymous offered The Fur-Bearers $10,000 toward Trapped In The Past, the documentary we’re working with Exposed Wildlife Conservancy to produce. But there was a catch: we had to get at least $10,000 from other supporters. This is known as a matching gift challenge – and did you ever respond!
The Fur-Bearers surpassed our week-long goal of $10,000 by Wednesday morning, meaning we’ve officially secured the matching gift of $10,000, too. This funding is being put straight to work, getting film crews into the field and booking interviews and research projects.
Opportunities for receiving a producer title remain in place, as more funding for the project will be required. Supporters who donate $2,500 will be named as Associate Producers in the end credits of the documentary, and supporters who donate $5,000 will be named Executive Producers in both the opening and ending credits.
The series is slated to go public in November 2022, and a full-length version will be produced for submission to festivals and other viewing opportunities. This project has the potential to be a gamechanger for wildlife in Canada, and we cannot wait to share more with all of you as it advances. If you’d like to continue receiving updates about this and other projects, click here to join our community and get occasional emails (you can unsubscribe at any time). We are exceptionally grateful for the support we received for this project this week, through donations and social media sharing. Thank you!
