Trapping seasons are open across Canada. Sadly, dozens of dogs and cats get caught in legally and illegally set wildlife traps each year. If you find your companion animal in an emergency situation, having the skills to help reduce injuries and death is essential.
First aid knowledge is invaluable, and understanding how to help your companion animal quickly in a medical emergency can save their life. This month, we’re giving away 1 student space in Walks ‘N’ Wags’ Independent Online Pet First Aid Certification Course.
Walks ‘N’ Wags Pet First Aid is the longest standing pet first aid program in Canada. Their online learning program offers the same Pet First Aid Certification as their 10 hour in-class program. Work from home at your own pace and learn everything from assessing vital signs, understanding medical conditions, bandaging, CPR and more.
Participants must have access to a laptop, tablet or smartphone, a stuffed animal, and a few first aid supplies. This course is for dogs and cats only and students have 12 months to complete the program. Certificate is valid for 3 years.
